Peggy Gerringer Teague, 73, of S. Rectory Street, Pittsboro, died May 25, 2008 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
Peggy was born April 22, 1935 in Chatham County, a daughter of Raymond Gerringer and Nannie Johnson Gerringer. She was a retired machinist from TRIEM, Inc. in Carrboro, and was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Grady Lee Teague, Jr. of the home; daughters, Karen Parker, Elaine Ratliff, and Charlene Farrell, all of Pittsboro, and Tracy Collins of Sanford; seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Gerringer.
The service to celebrate Peggy’s life will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, May 27, 2008 from the graveside at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Shane Arnold presiding. Friends may visit with the family from 7:00 – 9:00 pm Monday at Griffin Funeral Service in Pittsboro, and at other times at the residence of Charlene Farrell, 103 Launis St., Pittsboro.
