Mark Vincent Packard, age 53, died November 4, 2008 at Duke Hospice in Durham, North Carolina, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Jean Packard. He is survived by his sisters, Christine Chambers and Karen Packard Len Pellegrino, nieces Cara Chambers and Lisa Chambers Jeremy Lindsley, great nephew Samuel Lindsley, god-daughter, Ingrid Watts, and many long-time, loyal and beloved friends.
Mark graduated from Bishop Watterson High School in Columbus, OH in 1973 as class valedictorian. He received degrees in psychology and nursing from The Ohio State University and a Nurse Practitioner degree from Duke University.
Mark loved music, kayaking, travel, cats and was blessed with a wonderful spirit for life and a great sense of humor.
A dinner of remembrance was hosted by friends and family in the Durham area on November 6, 2008. A funeral mass will be offered on Friday, November 28, 2008 at 12:30 pm at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Reed and McCoy Roads in Upper Arlington, OH.
