Guy, I still think of you often and the days at my house, making music. I am so sorry for your loss. No one can understand one’s personal loss. You will begin to feel better only when you are able, and no sooner. You have lost half of your life and it must feel unbearable. All I can offer is a fond memory of a friendship and support to get you through this terrible time. Time helps, sometimes time alone, sometimes time with family, and sometimes time with friends. You have everyones support. Fondly, Helen

To the Reylek Family,
I met Linda eight years ago when I transferred to Rogers-Herr. She was the kindest, finest person — one who always thought of others. I loved her, not only for her friendship, but for her dry wit and for her never ending ability to always see “the glass half full.” She was a wonderful friend, and I loved her. My thoughts are with all of you as you go through this difficult time.
Kindest regards, Linda George

Condolence from LaTonya Smith on August 24th, 2007 12:00 am

The Reylek Family,

There are no words than can express the sadness I feel. Linda and I have been in neighboring classrooms for 3 years, even though I feel it has been longer. We have shared so much together from life, family, travels, and so much more. I always loved her quirky humor, her genuine love for the children and education. She was truly first class. I will indeed miss her, our talks, and her genuineness. I have learned so much from her and I will always keep her close to my heart. I love her so much. To the family, Linda loved you all so much. I pray God will be your Comforter during this difficult time.

Condolence from Cindi Rigsbee on August 24th, 2007 12:00 am

I never had the pleasure of teaching in the same school with Linda, but we shared so much. We were National Board Certification study-buddies, and we would manuever ourselves to sit beside each other at district Language Arts meetings. Our sons, both in theatre related fields, and both in New York, gave us hours of subject matter for phone calls and emails. I feel so blessed that I was able to spend some time with Linda two weeks ago as we ended up on the same flight to New York. 500 miles from home, we hugged and promised to get in touch when we returned. I’ll miss my buddy…

Condolence from Ray Ferris & Family on August 25th, 2007 12:00 am

Dear Guy, Doris, Peter and Kevin,

Since first meeting you online in 1997, and then in person in 1998, our families have seen each other through triumphs and tribulations.

On our visits to Durham, you made us so welcome, we felt as though we had known you forever, and in the following years got to know you all so well, even helping you to celebrate your 25th Wedding Anniversary in England.

Linda was a wonderful and warm person, and we knew her to be an outstanding and conscientious teacher, as well as a loving wife, mother and daughter.

We will miss her greatly, as will everyone else who knew her.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.

Condolence from Kelly Stevens on August 26th, 2007 12:00 am

Linda was such a great co-worker and friend! I have so many wonderful memories of things we did together and with Doris and Camryn. It’s going to be so hard on everyone to do and see things that remind us of her. Even though I miss her terribly and will miss the times we shared together; I feel very greatful that she was a part of my life and my son’s life.

Guy, Kevin, Peter, Doris, and all her family in NYC. I can’t express how truely sorry I am that you’ve lost Linda. However, I am here if you need anything and I feel lucky to have met all of you through her.
