Julia Brooks Stovall, age 78, a resident of Oxford died Tuesday, May 13, 2014. She was the daughter of the late R.D. Brooks and Mamie Bowles. She was preceded in death by her husband Dan Stovall. Mrs. Julia was a long time member of Hester Baptist Church. She was owner of Stovall’s Gifts and Collectibles until her retirement. Painting and flowers were just a few things she loved but her love for her family and extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews was her strongest suit. Her special dog “Buddy” was a true love of hers too. However, what is more certain is that she was the one who lovingly led her family amazingly and successfully through all the years of her life.
