Condolences for the family of “Irving Kent Dennis”

Condolence from Cathy & Chip & Chase Stroud on December 28th, 2011 12:00 am

We’re so sad to hear of Kent’s passing. He’s been a family friend for almost 25 years. We have many fond memories of him and his family; particularly as our children were growing up. He would take our son, Chase, golfing or shopping with him & always had some interesting tale to share upon their return. We lived in the same neighborhood & it was nothing for them to go to Kent’s house, knock on the door & ask him to “come out & play”. When he moved to Raleigh, he & June sent several letters with updates of his life there as well as past memories that we shared which we still have & will always treasure. I can say, without a doubt, that Kent loved the Lord, his children, & his church. Kent had a gift of telling stories & those memories will be painted in our hearts forever with lots of love & laughter. As a matter of fact, I feel sure he’s sharing stories with God right now. Our prayers, love & support go out to his family & friends.

Condolence from Tammy Richards on January 20th, 2012 12:00 am

I was lucky enough to get to know Mr. Dennis while he was at Spring Arbor of Raleigh. My family and I loved talking to him. He was such a special man to us! He would tell us stories about playing baseball and about his time in the war. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in the passing of this special man.
