I met Henry through his beautiful wife, Brenda, my very dear friend for over 30 years. Henry was smart, kind, loyal and very very funny.
We did not spend a lot of time together because we live thousands of miles apart, but when we did get together it was always delightful. Both my husband and I enjoyed “Bren and Hen”‘s visits and trips together and we miss them both very much.
One of the best and funniest things Henry did was during a visit to us at our Scottsdale house. We were sitting on my front patio one morning, enjoying a cup of coffee or something when all of a sudden a Harris Hawk began circling our property. I remembered that I had let my chickens out to free range (one of my favorites was named after Brenda). Anyway, I jumped up and yelled “hawk”. Without batting an eye Henry went tearing down to the wash with me to gather up my chickens and get them back in their run….seeing Henry herd chickens was hilarious, as he was quite the city boy….wish I had a picture to share.
Here’s to Henry…the world was a better place because of him.

Henry was a dear man who I have known since I was a teenager. He had a clever sense of humor and a good heart. He loved his sons and will be missed by many of his old (and new) friends. R.I.P., Henry.

I had the pleasure of working with Henry at AA and we formed a special bond having shared the same birthday. He was a special person and I will miss him terribly!

I absolutely adored Henry. I worked with Henry at American Airlines and Henry, Megan Mitchell and I enjoyed considering ourselves part of a little club as we all shared the same birthday, August 17. I never met a classier guy in my life. There was and is no one like him. He absolutely adored his wife and he loved Pittsboro too. Megan and I will both miss him terribly.

I met Henry while he was working at American Airlines. Henry was one of the good guys who made you have faith in mankind. Henry had a way of making you smile even when the day was not going well. Since he could not be with his sons on fathers day or his birthday, I had the pleasure of taking him out for lunch and I think it was more fun for me than him. He will be missed.
