Hall-Wynne Funeral Service & Crematory’s president, Mark Higgins, will speak October 1st at the 92nd Annual Meeting of Selected Independent Funeral Homes at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
Higgins has been the president of Hall-Wynne, a full-service funeral company, since 1992. He is a frequent lecturer on end-of-life issues, the value of funeral rituals and issues of grief. On October 1st, Higgins will be co-presenting with Dr. Thomas Long, author of “Accompany Them with Singing” and Professor of Preaching at Candler Theological Seminary in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Long will address the need for funeral professionals and clergy to partner together to better serve client families in making choice. Higgins will outline how a practicing funeral director can teach clients and the community to better practice the funeral rituals Dr. Long advocates in his book.
