OXFORD:

Fannie Daniel Malloy, age 94, died Thursday, August 20, 2009. A native of Granville County, she was the daughter of the late John Ashton and Fannie Morton Daniel and the widow of the late James L. Malloy.
Mrs. Malloy was a member of Oak Hill Presbyterian Church and was a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army Nurses Corp in WW II.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 21, 2009 at Tranquility Cemetery by the Rev. Jason Leonard. The family will receive friends following the service.
Surviving is her son, John A. Malloy.
Memorials may be made to Oak Hill Presbyterian Church, c/o Jan Morton, 1589 Sunset Road, Oxford, NC 27565. Online memorials www.gnvfh.com select obituaries. Gentry-Newell & Vaughan is in charge of assisting the family.

    Dear John,
    My mother and I are saddened to hear of your recent loss. We had just mentioned “the Malloys” in recent conversations about dear old friends in Durham-Oxford area. We surely pray that the Lord will bring his peace and comfort to you during this difficult time.
