Emily was my second mother while I was growing up in Durham. She drove Ted and me to school, and I ate dinner at her house almost as often as I ate at home. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ted and Linda, and we are with you in spirit.

Ted my dear friend, I am so sorry to hear about your mom passing. She was always so welcoming when I and all the other neighborhood kids came to your home. Usually we were playing basketball but I also remember her cleaning the quail in the kitchen after your dad returned from hunting. No matter how many times we would come to your home, she always appeared to be glad and was very kind. Memories are a gift from GOD and you my friend are fortunate enough to have 95 years worth. You were very blessed to have great parents and your mom was one of the best.
