Mrs. Cubie Johnson Wrenn, 72, of Bynum Church Road in Bynum died Tuesday morning, April 15, 2008 at Chatham Hospital in Siler City.

A lifelong native of Bynum, Cubie was born October 19, 1935, to James Hobart Johnson and Trannie McDuffie Johnson. She had worked for Odell Mills, and was retired from the Chatham County School System. Mrs. Wrenn enjoyed fishing, and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. She was a member of Bynum United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Wrenn is survived by her husband, Ollie Wrenn; a son, Calvin Wrenn; daughters, Janette Wrenn McCall, Bonnie Wrenn Leonard, and Abby White, all of Bynum, and Sharon Rowe of Oklahoma; a sister, Janie Suttles of Chapel Hill; seven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Her parents; a daughter, Gail White; and a brother, James Allen Johnson, all preceded her in death.

The service to celebrate Mrs. Wrenn’s life will be held at 7:00 pm, Thursday, April 17, 2008 at Bynum United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Chuck Winner presiding. Friends may visit with the family immediately following the service either at the church or at her residence.
