Diane Lea Wood Rosati, age 76, died Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Duke Medical Center. She was born in West Hartford, CT to the late Charles and Camille Mathieu Wood.
While she grew up in New York, she made North Carolina her home in the early 1960s and never left. She was a treasured friend to many, always ready to lend a hand and support those in need. Her kindness, generosity and compassion touched many lives, while her quick wit and happy smile brightened the world around her. Her delight in being a devoted mother extended far beyond her three children and there are many who delight in having been able to call her Mom. Also a loving sister, aunt and friend, it was as grandmother that she was at her best. It has been said by all that knew her that no matter what life threw at her, she never complained. She was resolved to live life in the fullest pursuit of mitigating the suffering of all around her. She will remain deep in the hearts of the many who love her.
Diane is survived by her three children: Ken Rosati and wife, Anne, of Durham, NC; Christopher Rosati and wife, Anna, also of Durham; and Robbin Gossman of Bel Air, MD; her brother, Gordon Wood; her sister, Charlene Budich; and five grandchildren.
