Wayne was like a second father to me and a third grandfather to my children. he also treated my mother like the woman she has always been. He was very smart with tools and really helped improve all of our lives for the better. He will be sorely missed by a ton of people because he always treated people with respect and made us laugh during the 20 plus years we knew him. He is in a better place and god is getting a great man. We will miss you Wayne, and thanks for the memories. God bless.

From a chance encounter on a golf course, John and I found a decade long friendship. We were fortunate to spend time with Wayne and Linda playing golf, traveling and sharing a million laughs. Wayne was an extraordinary friend and will certainly be missed. Keep it in the short grass up there Wayne and please help John find his golf ball.

I had the pleasure of knowing Wayne for over 35 years. I was fortunate to have played golf with him, fish with him and share many, many fun times together. He was funny and enjoyable to be around. I’ll miss seeing him around Durham. My condolences to Linda and his entire family. Hit ’em straight, Wayne!
