
DURHAM-Samuel “Sam” William Daniel, Sr., age 74, died Saturday, February 06, 2016 at the Durham, VA Hospital. Sam was born in Wilmington to the late Samuel Matthew Daniel and Marian Small Daniel.
Sam was a barber for more than 50 years, at A-1 Hairstyle in Durham.
Sam is survived by his son, Samuel Daniel, Jr. and wife Mandy, of Durham; his step-son Ralph McBroom and wife, Casandra, of Hurdle Mills; his step-daughter Nancy McBroom of Hurdle Mills; his brother, Dr. Robert Daniel and wife Kathy of Tahlequah, OK; three grandchildren, Beverly Clark, Kevin McBroom and Franklin Moore; four great – grandchildren Griffin Clark, Addison Moore, Harper Moore and Thomas McBroom.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Friday, February 12, 2016 at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Gray and Rev. Ansel Mullins officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Little River Presbyterian Church, Hurdle Mills.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, Durham.
