Ryan Jesse Molinatto

Posted By Hall-Wynne On February 20, 2014 @ 12:00 am In Obituaries | 21 Comments

Ryan Jesse Molinatto, age 16, died Thursday, February 20, in his Durham home. Born in Davidson County on July 5, 1997, Ryan was a student at Northern High School and a member of Christian Assembly Church.

Ryan never met a stranger. He could strike up a conversation with anyone, anytime, anywhere, and walk away friends. He was bright, intelligent, and could tell you the exact make and model of any vehicle on the road at any given time. He was tender-hearted. He was loved by many and well-liked by even more. He was a good-looking kid. He loved sports and was good at baseball, soccer and swimming but his all-time favorite was basketball. He loved kids and was good with them. He was a loyal friend. He loved his family, but most of all, he loved his best friend in the whole world, his dog Saint.

Ryan is survived by his loving parents, Jon D. and Pam A. Molinatto of Durham, NC; his paternal grandparents, Jonathan J. and Virginia Molinatto of Bryson City, NC; his two brothers, Jonathan R. Molinatto and wife, Cheryl Ghesquiere Molinatto and their son, Cameron, of College Park, MD; and David P. Molinatto of Durham; his dog Saint; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, at Christian Assembly Church with Pastor Dub Karriker presiding. A private cremation ceremony will be held later at Hall-Wynne Crematory.

Family and friends may visit Tuesday evening from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service.

A memorial service will be held at Northern High School at a time and date to be announced later.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, Development Office, 716 Mt. Airyshire Blvd., Suite 100, Columbus, OH 43235.

We enjoyed Ryan’s enthusiasm on the basketball court as a member of the Green Gobs rec team. He had an amazing three point shot, but more importantly was a wonderful teammate. Our prayers go out to Ryan’s family. We know Ryan is in a good place. We will miss him.

Please accept our deepest sympathy. Our hearts goes out to the family because death is something we will never get used to. In fact, God’s word refers to death as a enemy.
1 Corinthians 15:26.
Very soon our loving heavenly Father will remove death once and for and give us the opportunity to see our loved ones again.
Isaiah 25:8
