In Memorial

Rose Salamoni Yon, 89, died Monday, June 30, 2008 at Forest View Rehabilitation Center.

Born in East Orange, NJ, she was the daughter of Salavtor and Maryanne Salamoni. Rose was an active member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and greatly enjoyed the fellowship and kindness that she received there. Her great love for the church extended to all those who had the chance to meet her. It is easily said that she had never met a stranger. Her warmth and hospitality was felt most by all the loving nieces and nephews that will never forget how special she truly was.

Rose was employed with Kimbrell’s Furniture store for over thirty years as a sales associate. She loved her work as it provided her with the opportunity to know so many great people and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to, Heartland Hospice Care, 3117 Poplarwood Ct. #114, Raleigh, NC 27604.

A Mass of Christian burial will be offered 12:00 PM Wednesday, July 3, 2008 from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Steven Patti, OFM, presiding. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11-12 PM Wednesday, at Immaculate Conception, immediately prior to the Mass.

Dear Patty and Maryann and Family I can’t tell you the many times I have thought of and said prayers for Rose. I have missed her so much and so many times wanted to go visit her, but was not sure where she was. I kept in touch with Evelen McNary all these years to the whereabouts of Rose, it seems we all lost touch, I will always remember all the dance’s Rose and Peter took me and my ex to and the times Patty and I went with them. Most of all the time’s I took Rose to Church after Peter’s passing. I had so many wonderful times and talks with her, that will always remain in my heart forever. My friends please take care and after all these years, I think of you! I’m sorry I could not make it to the service today, but I will go to Maplewood for a visit this weekend. Rose will always remain in my heart with Love. Frank D. Almendarez
