Condolences for the family of “Richard Lee Goldthwaite”

Condolence from James Araujo on September 18th, 2018 10:35 am

I am sending my condolences to Richard’s family on the occasion of this loss. Richard and I worked together for several years at Lonza in Portsmouth, NH in the CAD department. We became friends over the years and he welcomed my wife Marcia and I into his home many times for a drink and to show us his guitar collection in the beautiful setting of his childhood home in Biddeford Pool, Maine.
He was an excellent CAD designer, shared his experience from previous jobs with the younger designers and engineers in our department to help them progress their careers.
His love of collecting guitars and listening to/playing Blues music was both a hobby and life long love. He will be missed by many of our Lonza colleagues here in New Hampshire. My sympathies are with his loved ones left behind and wish his family peace to help get through this difficult time of grief.

To the Goldthwaite family: please accept our heartfelt sympathy for your loss of Richard. We were neighbors for several years and enjoyed his company especially our times of playing guitar and playing pool together. He was a good friend who will be greatly missed.

Our condolences to the Goldthwaite family. Rich was our neighbor in Biddeford, Maine. We shared a yard, many fun stories, food and drink. He was a gracious host to us at his new place in NC – obviously loved being near his kids with lots of room to shoot his guns and play his guitars. He sure could prepare a great steak! A great guy who we will miss.
