September 4, 1940 — September 17, 2025

Durham

Robert “Bob” Price Sneed, age 85, of Durham, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, at Duke Hospice–Hock Family Pavilion, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on September 4, 1940, at Watts Hospital in Durham, Bob was the son of the late Edward Price Sneed and Caroline Kime Sneed. He was a proud graduate of Southern High School class of 1958 in Durham and attended Atlantic Christian College (now Barton College).

Bob began his professional career with Moore Business Forms, where he worked for 20 years before founding, Triangle Business Forms in 1987, in Durham, until his retirement. A natural entrepreneur and a gifted communicator, Bob built lasting professional relationships; many of his clients remained loyal to him for decades, a testament to both his character and his dedication. Following his retirement, his son Rob carried forward the business, which continues today as MarkaBull.

Bob was a man who lived life to the fullest and shared his joy with everyone around him. Known for his quick wit, kind heart, and infectious humor, he had a remarkable ability to make people laugh and feel welcome. During his youth, Bob cherished summers at Carolina Beach, living with his parents, sister and brother on the family boat until returning to Durham the day before school began. Memories that remained among his most treasured stories and sparked a lifelong love of boating and fishing. He had a deep love for music and could often be found singing karaoke, bringing energy and laughter to anyone who joined him. A natural craftsman, Bob spent countless hours alongside his wife, Sarah, creating a beautiful yard filled with carefully planted flowers, plants and thoughtfully built structures. A lifelong animal lover, from his childhood pony to many dogs he cared for. Bob’s zest for life, generosity, and warmth left a lasting impression on all who had the joy of knowing him.

Bob met his wife Sarah after college, beginning a 64-year journey of love and partnership. They married at New Hope Presbyterian Church in Winnabow, North Carolina—a place of great significance to them both. Sarah passed away on July 16, 2025, and Bob will now be laid to rest beside her in the church cemetery, returning to the place where their life together began.

He is survived by his children, Beth Sneed of Durham, NC, and Rob Sneed (Chesley) of Durham, NC; and his grandchildren, Price Sneed of Charleston, SC, and Sutton Sneed of Raleigh, NC, whom he adored and was immensely proud of them both. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law Bill Kopp of Wilmington, NC; his sister-in-law Donnie Kopp of Sunset Harbor, NC; his sister-in-law Margaret Sneed of Wilmington, NC; six nephews; three nieces; and a wide circle of extended family and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Elizabeth Sneed of Durham, NC; his parents, Edward Price and Caroline Kime Sneed; his brother Ed Sneed of Carolina Beach, NC; his sister Betty Jean Crisp of Etowah, NC; his brother-in-law John Kopp of Sunset Harbor, NC; his sister-in-law Clara Kopp Reynolds and brother-in-law Doug Reynolds of Alpharetta, GA; his sister-in-law Barbara Kopp of Wilmington, NC ; and his nephew Barry Crisp of Etowah, NC.
