Perry Rickman Tharrington, Jr. died on May 26, 2022. He is survived by his wife Jewell Brinkley Tharrington, son Perry Rickman Tharrington, III and wife Helen, daughter Julie Tharrington Hardison and husband Tom, granddaughters Austin Tharrington Cox and husband David, Jessie Tharrington Mull and husband Robert, grandsons Thomas Tharrington Hardison and Edward Coley Hardison, great- granddaughter Coley Marie Cox, and many nieces and nephews.
A private family burial will be held at Maplewood Cemetery with the Reverend Christopher Ingram officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Yates Baptist Church Building Fund, 2819 Chapel Hill Road, Durham, NC 27707.
