Mr. Phillip Currin Finch, age 71, died on December 24, 2021. He was born in Granville County on September 22, 1950, to his late parents, Fallis Owen Finch and Evelyn Rebecca Currin Finch. Phillip was a lifelong resident of Granville and Vance County.
Surviving Phillip are his faithful and dedicated partner, Virginia “Jenny” Cook and her daughter, Shannon Cook and her grandson, Summit; his brother, Honorable Daniel F. Finch (Jean); his sister-in-law, Gaynelle W. Finch; his nephews, F.O. Finch, III (Heather Denny); Jason D. Finch (Julie B.); Daniel B. Finch (Julie D.) and his niece, Rebecca Finch Redwine (Phillip). Also surviving are many extended family and friends too numerous to name.
Predeceased Phillip are his parents; his brother, F.O. Finch,II; his paternal grandparents, G. Fred Finch and Lula Bobbitt Finch; and his maternal grandparents, Daniel T, Currin and Lizzie Hart Currin.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Oxford Baptist Church. The family will receive guests for visitation after the service in the fellowship Hall. A private family burial service will be held.
The family requests that all attendees wear appropriate face coverings and adhere to the safe practice of social distancing.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Phillip’s memory to the Community Home Care and Hospice Agency, 946 West Andrews Avenue, Suite S, Henderson, NC 27536.
