In Loving Memory of Pat Soriano
Pat, a devoted husband, loving father, and dedicated employee, passed away peacefully after a long and fulfilling life. Born in Newark, New Jersey, in 1930, Pat was a true Jersey native who carried his hardworking spirit throughout the world.
He attended Barringer High School in Newark. It was there, on a local bowling league, that fate introduced him to the love of his life, Connie. Their enduring romance led to marriage in 1952, marking the beginning of a remarkable 73-year partnership. Shortly after their wedding, Pat was called to duty, serving in the Army and stationed in Okinawa. Upon returning home, he began his long and distinguished career at United Airlines at the Newark Airport. Pat and Connie welcomed their three beloved daughters: Linda, Lisa, and Patricia.
Pat's career with United Airlines took the family west, where they relocated to California and he continued his work at the San Francisco Airport. His commitment to the airline was exceptional, culminating in his retirement after an extraordinary 62 years of employment.
A Life Well-Lived- Pat had a profound passion for gardening. He meticulously cared for his beautiful backyard, which was always filled with vibrant flowers and productive fruit trees-a testament to his patient and nurturing nature. He and Connie shared a love for adventure, traveling the world together, creating a lifetime of memories.
Seeking to be closer to family, Pat and Connie briefly moved to Pennsylvania. However, finding the climate too cold, they soon settled in Arizona, where they enjoyed the warmth and their retirement years for 12 years. In the final chapter of his life, they moved to North Carolina to be close to their daughters.
Pat's life was defined by his incredible commitment to his family, his strong work ethic, and his unwavering love for Connie, his wife of 73 years. He leaves behind a legacy of dedication, kindness, and beautiful memories that will be cherished by all who knew him. Pat is survived by his beloved wife, Connie; his daughters, Linda, Lisa, and Patricia; his grandchildren Deanna and Daniel and great-grandchildren Marlene and Hunter.
