CHAPEL HILL – Kimberly Ann Briggaman, aged 58, passed suddenly the morning of May 11th, 2026. Born March 23rd, 1968 to the late Al and Irene Briggaman, she leaves behind a legacy of selflessness and love.
Kim’s childhood was full of joy and life. Like most kids in Chapel Hill she played Parks and Rec league basketball and swam in the summer swim league. She loved to sew.
After graduating from Chapel Hill High School in the fall of 1985 Kim enrolled at the American Institute of Art in Atlanta which served as a precursor to a decades long career in apparel. Over the years she worked for several companies in the industry which eventually led her to Boston. Where again she thrived.
Later on she returned to Chapel Hill to help guide her parents through their final stages of life. She helped tremendously.
Kim had many passions in life but her love of animals was second to none. Even though she had pets of her own Kim volunteered to care for and foster animals at Better Together Animal Sanctuary. She also donated her time to many other individuals and organizations throughout the community.
Kim is survived by her loving brother, Scott Briggaman and his wife, Judith, of Mebane, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Better Together Animal Sanctuary.
