Kevin Allen Banner, age 53, passed away peacefully at his home on July 15, 2026.
Kevin is survived by his loving husband of 7 years, Travis Banner; his cherished dogs, Bandit, Henry, and Buddy, who brought him immeasurable joy; his father, David Allen Dunaway of Flemingsburg, Kentucky; his devoted best friend, Perry Key of Cincinnati, Ohio; four loving aunts; one devoted uncle; and many cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Gayle Dunaway; his brother, Christopher Neil Dunaway; and his beloved grandparents, Clayton and Opal Dunaway and Lloyd and Lena Hamm, all of Flemingsburg, Kentucky.
A proud graduate of Fleming County High School, Kevin devoted more than 30 years to his career as a hairdresser. To those who knew him through his work, he was far more than a talented stylist. He was a trusted friend, a compassionate listener, and someone who had a remarkable gift for making others feel beautiful, valued, and understood. The relationships he built over the years became lifelong friendships, and his kindness left a lasting impression on countless lives.
Kevin’s heart was as big as his smile. He never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel welcome from the moment they met him. His warmth, generosity, and genuine concern for others were simply part of who he was. Whether offering a helping hand, sharing a laugh, or being there when someone needed him most, Kevin gave of himself without hesitation. His love knew no boundaries, and his kindness touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Above all, Kevin loved deeply. He treasured his family, adored his dogs, and found joy in bringing happiness to those around him. His gentle spirit, infectious laughter, and unwavering compassion will be remembered always.
Though his time with us was far too short, the love he shared and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of those who loved him forever. Kevin will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
