James Reed Clark

James Reed Clark, 86, of Durham, NC, passed away on April 10, 2026.

Jim was a biochemist who dedicated his career to ensuring the environmentally safe use of agricultural chemicals. He will be remembered for his thoughtful nature, friendly and outgoing presence, and deep love for his family.

Jim enjoyed spending time with those closest to him, riding bikes, and playing soccer. In recent years, he found joy in working on puzzles, chatting with neighbors, working on the flower garden and reading a good book next to his fish pond.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Judith Clark; his sons, Nathan Clark and his wife Stephanie, and Erin Clark and his wife Keri; and his grandchildren, Owen Clark and Mason Clark.

Jim will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
