Donald William Gagne

Hubert, NC

Hubert, NC – Donald William Gagne, age 67, passed away on November 3, 2026. He was born on February 25, 1959 to the late Joseph and Lorraine Gagne.

Donald worked at Digital for over a decade before dedicating 20 years of his life working at Kennebec Technologies, a machine shop in Augusta, Maine. Throughout his years there, he was known for his strong work ethic and dependability, earning the respect of his coworkers and forming many lifelong friendships along the way.

After retiring, he followed his dream of returning to the South, where he always called home. After making North Carolina home, Donald enjoyed spending time outside soaking up the Carolina sunshine and never passed up an opportunity to strike up a conversation with anyone and everyone, wherever he happened to be. He had a love for muscle cars, watching Motocross, football, and NASCAR, as well as trying new recipes in the kitchen.

Above all else, Donald's greatest priority and source of pride was his family, especially his children and his four grandchildren, Gabe, Arleigh, Haydin, and Cameron. He loved spoiling them, joking around with them, and being their biggest supporter in everything they did. Even with miles between them at times, he always stayed involved and support their hobbies and interests, from cheering on the sidelines of motorcross races to sitting in on dance recitals or spending hours discussing cars and bikes. His grandchildren meant the world to him, and being their grandfather was one of his greatest joys.

Donald Gagne is survived by his son, Anthony Gagne, and daughter-in-law, Mandy, along with his grandsons, Haydin and Cameron; his daughter, Sara Halsey, her fiancé, Jason, and his grandchildren, Gabe and Arleigh. He is also survived by his sisters, Lionette, Claudette, and brother Camille. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Gagne and Danny Gagne. Donald will also be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who became family.

Information on a celebration of life will be held at a later date; details will be provided by Donald’s family.
