DURHAM, Carolina del Norte – Antonia Lazaro, 52 años, partió a sus brazos de Nuestro Señor el 28 de mayo de 2026, rodeada del amor y la dedicación de su familia. Nació el 13 de junio de 1973 en San Juan, México, hija de Celia Roman Guzman y del fallecido Jose Monroy.

Además de su padre, Antonia fue precedida en la muerte por sus hermanos, Margarito Monroy Roman y Jesus Monroy Roman; y por su hermana, Natividad Monroy Roman. Le sobreviven su madre, Celia Roman Guzman; su amado esposo, Ismeldo Lazaro; sus hijas, Evelin Lazaro, Aileen Lazaro y Ashley Lazaro; su hijo, Guillermo Lazaro; sus hermanos, Alejando Monroy Roman y Jose Luis Monroy Roman; y sus hermanas, Victorina Monroy Roman, Maria Trinidad Monroy Roman y Lorena Monroy Roman.

Fue una mujer profundamente entregada a su hogar, a su esposo y a sus hijos. Su amor incondicional, su fortaleza y su generosidad dejaron una huella imborrable en todos los que tuvieron la dicha de conocerla. Cada uno de sus actos reflejaba la bondad y el cariño con los que vivió su vida.

Mujer de profunda e inquebrantable fe, vivió siempre bajo la guía amorosa de Dios. Su confianza en el Señor fue el fundamento de su vida y la fuente de su paz en los momentos de alegría y de prueba. Encontró consuelo en la oración, esperanza en las promesas divinas y fortaleza en la certeza de Su amor. Con humildad y devoción, compartió su fe a través de su ejemplo, inspirando a quienes la rodeaban a acercarse más a Dios y a vivir con amor, compasión y gratitud.

Era una persona alegre y llena de vida que iluminaba cualquier lugar con su presencia. Su sonrisa contagiosa, su risa y su espíritu positivo llevaban felicidad a todos los que la conocían. Amaba la música y con frecuencia se le podía encontrar cantando sus canciones favoritas o bailando con entusiasmo y alegría. Su energía, sentido del humor y amor por la vida hacían que cada reunión fuera más especial y memorable.

También encontraba en la jardinería una expresión de los dones que Dios le había concedido. Con dedicación y amor cuidaba flores y plantas, encontrando en ellas una fuente de paz, gratitud y admiración por la belleza de la creación divina. Allí donde iba sembraba vida, color y esperanza. Fue una amiga leal y entrañable que reflejaba el amor de Dios en su trato con los demás. Sue calidez, dejando una huella de cariño y bendición en la vida de todos aquellos que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla.

Por encima de todo, será recordada por su corazón amoroso, su fe inquebrantable, su personalidad vibrante y las innumerables maneras en que cuidó de quienes la rodeaban. Su memoria continuará viviendo en los corazones de su familia, amigos y de todos aquellos que tuvieron la bendición de conocerla.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el 2 de junio de 2026, de 5:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m., en Hall-Wynne Funeral Chapel, ubicada en 1113 W. Main St., Durham, Carolina del Norte.

La Misa de Funeral se celebrará el 3 de junio de 2026 a la 1:30 p.m. en la Iglesia Católica Immaculada Concepción, ubicada en 810 W. Chapel Hill St., Durham, Carolina del Norte. El sepelio se realizará inmediatamente después en el Cementerio Católica San Mateo, ubicado en 1001 Mason Road, Durham, Carolina del Norte.

DURHAM, NC – Antonia Lazaro, age 52, passed into the arms of our Lord on May 28th, 2026, surrounded by her devoted and loving family. She was born June 13th, 1973, in San Juan, Mexico to the loving embrace of her parents, Celia Roman Guzman and the late Jose Monroy.

In addition to her father, Antonia is preceded in death by her brothers, Margarito Monroy Roman and Jesus Monroy Roman; and by her sister, Natividad Monroy Roman. She is survived by her mother, Celia Roman Guzman; her beloved husband, Ismeldo Lazaro; her daughters, Evelin Lazaro, Aileen Lazaro, and Ashley Lazaro; her son, Guillermo Lazaro; her brothers, Alejandro Monroy Roman and Jose Luis Monroy Roman; and her sisters, Victorina Monroy Roman, Maria Trinidad Monroy Roman, and Lorena Monroy Roman.

She was a woman deeply devoted to her home, her husband, and her children. Her unconditional love, strength, and generosity left an indelible mark on all who had the blessing of knowing her. Every action reflected the kindness and affection with which she lived her life.

A woman of deep and unwavering faith, she always lived under God’s loving guidance. Her trust in the Lord was the foundation of her life and the source of her peace in both times of joy and times of trial. She found comfort in prayer, hope in God’s promises, and strength in the certainty of His love. With humility and devotion, she shared her faith through her example, inspiring those around her to draw closer to God and to live with love, compassion, and gratitude.

She was a joyful and vibrant person who brightened every place with her presence. Her contagious smile, laughter, and positive spirit brought happiness to everyone she met. She loved music and could often be found singing her favorite songs or dancing with enthusiasm and joy. Her energy, sense of humor, and love for life made every gathering more special and memorable.

She also found in gardening an expression of the gifts God had bestowed upon her. With dedication and love, she cared for flowers and plants, finding in them of a source of peace, gratitude, and admiration for the beauty of God’s creation. Wherever she went, she planted life, color, and hope. She was a loyal and cherished friend who reflected God’s love in her interactions with others. Her warmth, kindness, and generous willingness to help touched countless hearts, leaving a legacy of love and blessing in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Above all, she will be remembered for her loving heart, unwavering faith, vibrant personality, and the countless ways she cared for those around her. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those who were blessed to know her.

A period of visitation will be held the evening of Tuesday, June 2nd, 20026 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Hall-Wynne Funeral Chapel, 1113 W. Main Street, Durham, NC.

A funeral mass will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, June 3rd, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 810 W. Chapel Hill St, Durham, NC with burial to immediately follow at St. Matthew’s Catholic Cemetery, 1001 Mason Rd, Durham, NC.
