Teresa "Grace" Fontenelle

On December 26, 2020, Teresa Fontenelle, “Grace" or "Ma Gordon,” to her close friends and neighbors, transitioned, in Durham, NC. She was 77 years old.
Teresa resided on the island of St. Croix in the U.S.V.I. She was visiting her children and grandchildren in Durham, N.C. prior to her death.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Sylvester "Gordon" Fontenelle; Parents: Jeffrey Joseph Eugene "Mr. Met or Meht" and Hermancia Eugene "Ma Met, Meht or Ormance.
Teresa will be missed and lovingly remembered by her children:
Daughters: Catalina Fontenelle-Romain, Judith Fontenelle, Lydia Fontenelle and Leona Fontenelle
Sons: Albert Fontenelle, Ivan Fontenelle, Pius Fontenelle and Sylvester Fontenelle, Jr.
Granddaughters: Nicole Romain, Marquita Fontenelle, Nikki Romain, Nikkiva Romain and Mia Fontenelle
Grandsons: David Fontenelle, William Fontenelle, Pius Fontenelle, Jr., Qwinton Fontenelle and Tahj Fontenelle
Great-Granddaughters: Kamiya Pritchard and Jah'kiylla K Romain
Daughters-in-law: Dawn Fontenelle, Wincent Fontenelle and Tammy Fontenelle; son-in-law: Irvin Romain.

A service will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 2438 S. Alston Avenue, Durham, N.C. 27713.
Teresa will be interned next to her husband Sylvester at Beechwood Cemetery, 3300 Fayetteville St, Durham, NC 27707.
