Sharon Lee Weber

April 16, 1948 — July 21, 2023

Sharon Lee Weber passed away on Friday July 21, 2023 at Maria Parham Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Sharon was born in Washington, DC on April 16, 1948 to Harry Cleveland Webb and Julia St. Clair Zellars. She graduated from Chopticon High School in Chaptico, Maryland and later became ASCP registered as a Histoglogy Technician and retired from Duke University Hospital after 30 years.


Sharon married Barry Weber, the love of her life on June 29, 1996. Sharon and Barry have lived in several places and finally settled in Creedmoor, North Carolina in 2006. Sharon loved Creedmoor and became a special part of the community where she was loved by all. She had a great heart for service, often volunteering at local soup kitchens and church events. She was confirmed Episcopal November 20, 1960 and has always remained a person of great faith most recently attending Banks Methodist Church. She loved to spend time with her friends and family and especially loved spoiling her cat.


Sharon is survived by her husband Barry Weber, her three sisters Judy O’Neill (Billy), Lorrie Fenwick (Frank), Ruth Hambright (Rob, deceased) and two brothers Harry Webb (Donna) and Warren Webb (Brenda Kay), her two children Mark Guy (Julia) and Angie Pickeral (Bryan), her grandchildren Glenn, Patrick, Presley, and Evan.


A memorial service will be held at August 5, 2023 at 11:00 am at Banks Methodist Church, Hwy 96, Franklinton, NC. Family and friends are invited to attend.


In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations may be made to an agency that was very dear to Sharon, ACIM (Area Congregation of Ministry) in Oxford.


The Weber family is honorably being cared for by Gentry-Newell & Vaughan Funeral Home, 50 College Street, Oxford, NC 27565.
