Mr. Robert Kyle Martin, 42, of Horton's Pond Road, Apex, died Tuesday evening, December 20, 2011 at the William M. Dunlap Center for Caring of Hospice of Wake County. Kyle was born June 14, 1969 in Orange County, the son of Robert Craig and Sharon Copeland Martin. He was a 1987 graduate of Apex High School and a May, 1992 graduate of NC State Uneersity where he received a BS degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Sciences. A dedicated Christian man, Kyle was an active member of Merritt's Chapel Methodist Church, where he served as President of the Men's Group. Kyle was a loving and devoted son, husband, father and friend. He was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting. His love of outdoors was also reflected with his job at Bland Landscaping, where he served as Dept. Maneer of Residential Services. Kyle is survived by his wife of 8 years, Cynthia "Cindy" Council Martin; his sons, Robert Owen Martin, Logan Matthew Ludwig and Holdeneee Martin, all of the home; his parents, Craig and Sharon Martin of Apex; brother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Jodie Martin, and their son, Austin, of Apex; his in-laws, Linwood and Dianne Council of Apex; sister-in-law, Christie Hampton, her husband Doug, and their daughter Brandy, of Apex; and also by several aunts, unees and cousins. The service to celebrate Kyle Martin's life will be conducted by Pastor Richard Farmer at 1 o'clock Friday afternoon, December 23, 2011, at Apex Uneed Methodist Church, 100 S. Hughes, Apex, NC. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 5 7 pm at Merritt's Chapel Uneed Methodist Church, 1090 Farrington Point Road, Chapel Hill. Memorials may be sent to either Merritt's Chapel UMC, or to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607. Online condolences may be sent to www.hallwynne.com, select "Obituaries".
