OXFORD: Phyllis C. Bowling Cates, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2015. A native of Granville Co., she was the daughter of Mary Lewis Walker Bowling and the late Ollie Lee ???OL??? Bowling, Jr. Phyllis was a member of Providence Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am oneed., Feb. 4, 2015 at Gentry-neell & Vaughan Chapel by Dr. Randy Pittman, burial at the Bowling Family Cemetery in Providence. Family will receive friends Wed. from 10:00 - 11:00 am prior to service. Surviving in addition to her mother is a daughter, Jessica Nicky Joyner (Austin) of Rocky Mount; brothers, O.L. ???Lee??? Bowling, III of Oxford, Lewis Douglas Bowling of Durham; sisters, Martha B. Owens of Oxford, Judith Dale Swinney of Charlotte, Bonee B. Butts of Oxford and Deborah Royster of Oxford.
