Patricia Wade Colenda

OXFORD: Patricia Wade Colenda, age 81, of 114 Forest Road, died Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Duke Uneersity Medical Center. A native of Carteret County, she spent most of her life in Granville County. She was the daughter of the late Howard and Sally Daniel Wade and was a member of Oxford Uneed Methodist Church where she was a member of the choir. She retired from Oxford Orphanee Masonic Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon oneednesday, September 23, 2009 from Oxford Uneed Methodist Church by the Rev. Pat Hawkins. Burial will be in Bayview Cemetery in Morehead City on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 2:00 PM. Surviving is one son, Allen Colenda, Jr. of Maryland; one daughter, Ann Colenda of Oxford; one sister, Shirley W. Lucas of Morehead City; three grandchildren, aneeight great-grandchildren. Mrs. Colenda is preceded ineeath by her late husband, Allen G. Colenda and a son, Kenneth Colenda. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 noon in the church.
