Mr. Brian Louis Emerson

Dateline: Burlington, NC Deceased: Mr. Brian Louis Emerson July 5, 1976 ??? July 4, 2015 Mr. Brian Louis Emerson, 38, passed away peacefully in his home in Burlington, NC on July 4th, 2015 with his wife and sister by his side. Brian always put others before himself, even throughout his three year journey with colon cancer. He truly modeled a life of service by always leading with kineess, helping those ineeed, and neer asking for anything ineeturn. Brian was a source of strength and happiness for all who knew him. In turn, Brian found his comfort and peace in his faith and relationship with God. Brian was married to Carla Henderson Emerson, formerly of Olive Hill, KY on June 16th, 2001. Their 14 year marriage has been a model of the kind of love that is possible when two people share passion, happiness, friendship, laughter, and devotion. Brian???s greatest joy came from his role as a father to their young daughter, Ava Leigh Emerson. He would say that since Ava???s birth in 2013, he enjoyed some of the best years of his life. Brian was born July 5th, 1976 in Washington, DC to William Louis Emerson and the late Linda Stewart Emerson both of Siler City, NC. He was a Mason, member of the Bula Lodge #409 AF & AM and the Scottish Rite Valley of Greensboro. Brian worked for the past 9 years as a CAD Department Maneer for Hydrostructures, P.A., a civil engineering firm, in Pittsboro, NC. He was also passionee about the environment, especially honey bees, which he kept in his backyard. Brian also enjoyed a lifelong love of nature, but most especially a love of fishing, instilled in him by his father. He was also an avid baseball fan who rooted for the Bostoneed Sox. He was also preceded ineeath by his grandparents, Raymoneemerson, and Stanley and Grace Stewart, as well as his beloved Boxer, Oscar Bean. In addition to his wife and father, Brian is survived by his daughter, Ava Leigh Emerson; Grandparents, James Shuby and Sally Maness of Siler City, NC; his sister, Melinda Emerson of Greensboro, NC; his stepmother, Lucy Emerson, of Antioch, NC and many family and friends. The memorial service will be held 3:00 pm, Saturday, July 11, 2015 at First Baptist Church, 314 N 2nd Ave, Siler City, NC 27344. The Reverend Rachel Hill will officiate the service. Immediately following service, the family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of the church. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00pm on Friday the 10th in the sanctuary of the church.
