Mildred Scoggins Lineey, age 81, died July 29, 2008. Mrs. Lineey was a Durham native and graduate of Watts Nursing School. She retired from Duke Uneersity Medical Center as an obstetrical nurse. Mrs. Lineey was a charter member of Braggtown Baptist Church and member of Temple Baptist Church, both of Durham. In later years, Mrs. Lineey was a member of Prospect Uneed Methodist Church in Yanceyville, NC. At the time of her death Mrs. Lineey was living with her daughter, Jane Parrott in Yanceyville. Mrs. Lineey was married to the late Eugene A. Lineey and is survived by three children, Jane Lineey Parrott of Yanceyville, Eugene Howard Lineey of The Villages, FL, and Dr. Martha Lineey Wheeley of Ft. Pierce, FL. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Matthew B. Lineey, Rachel Catherine Lineey, Vann T. Wheeley and Jonathan Parrott; five nephews and two nieces. The family will receive friends through Thursday at the home in Yanceyville and from 6-8 PM Friday at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service in Durham. Graveside services will be held 11 AM Saturday from Maplewood Cemetery. Officiating will be her nephew Ray Warren, pastor of Orange Uneed Methodist Church in Chapel Hill. Honorary pallbearers will be her son-in-laws, Glenn T. Parrott, Leonard B. Wheeley; grandsons, Matthew B. Lineey, Vann T. Wheeley and Jonathan Parrott; nephews, Charles R. Billings, David J. Billings, John Scott Billings, James Lineey and Mark Lineey; great-nephew, Evan Warren and long time family friend, L.T. Hunnings. Arrangements are with Hall-Wynne Funeral Service in Durham.
