Michael S. Owens

HENDERSON Michael S. Owens, 54, of Henderson was surrounded by his family when he went to be with the Lord on July 14th, 2016 after a short illness. He was born in San Diego, CA while his parents were stationed there in the military. After his Father's retirement from the U. S. Navy, the family returned to Granville County where he graduated J. F. Webb High School in 1980. He is preceded in death by his father, John H. Owens and his son, Michael Owens Jr. He is survived by his mother, Delia Hart Owens and his daughter, Fallon Owens (Keith Wade Jr.) Three granddaughters; Brooklyn, Londyn and Madison. His sister; Rebecca Newman, brothers; Christopher Owens (Wendy) and John Owen (Denise). The family will receive friends at the home of Christopher, Wendy and Delia Owens in Stovall. A graveside memorial service will be held on Monday, July 18, at 5 p.m. at the Stovall Memorial Cemetery in Stovall, NC. Flowers are welcomed or Memorial Contributions can be made to the family.
