Michael Keith "Mike" Norwood

Oxford: Michael "Mike" Keith Norwood age 57 of Oxford died January 5, 2009. A native Onslow Co. son of the late Claude Frazier Norwood and Thelma McLaurin Norwood. A member of Peace's Chapel Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of the Oxford Orphanee with 26 years of faithful service as director of Facilities Services. He was President of Norwood and Sons Plumbing, a former member of Corinth Voluneer Fire Department and a member of Oxford Masonic Lodge 122 A.F & A.M Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 8, 2009 from York Rite Chapel at the Masonic Home for Children by the Rev. Johnny Armstrong, burial will following Meadowview Memorial Park, with Masonic Rites. Surviving is his wife, Mrs. Mary Ann Mitchell Norwood, two sons, Michael Norwood II, Tory, of Millers Creek, NC, Matthew A. Norwood Jill, of Oxford NC., one brother, Stan Hannah, of Sherwood, OR and a grandson, Caleb Michael Norwood. Predeceased by a daughter, Lisa Michelle Norwood and a brother, Claude Richard Norwood . Family will receive Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 PM from Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home, 503 College Street, Oxford NC and at other times at the home of Matthew and Jill Norwood, 107 Tupelo Circle, Oxford NC.
