Mattie Ann Blackley

Oxford, NC Mattie Ann Blackley, 81, a long time resident of Granville County, died at Granville Medical Center on June 5, 2018. She was the daughter of the late John Pegram Gooch and Beatrice Overton Gooch. She was proceeded in death by her only daughter, Cynthia Blackley Farabow and her husband, David Phillip Blackley. She is survived by her Sister, Martha Hilton; two granddaughters, Elizabeth McLain (Clifton) and Amy Catherine Proctor (Bobby); three great grandchildren, Kelsey and Kase Proctor and Cole McLain; two nephews, John Stark and Todd Stark; one niece Lisa Tarlton (Ronald); and two great nephews, Dylan and Jacob Tarlton. The family would like to especially thank Debbie Gourley, Lisa Little, and Goldie Garrett for their compassionate care. Mattie Ann worked for 50 years and owned her own accounting firm for 35 years. She was loved and respected by her many customers and later operated the business with her beloved daughter Cindy. Services will be held at Corinth Baptist Church Friday, June 8th at 11am. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery. The family will then receive guests in the church fellowship hall.
