Marion "Reid" Callis

Marion ???Reid??? Callis, 70, of Granville County, died Sunday, January 22, 2017 at his home.?? He was born on July 14, 1946 in Oxford, NC to the late Frank Hayes Callis Sr. aneettie Bet Preddy Callis. Professionally, Reid was a trained industrial electrician with Certaineed Corp. for more than 20 years. He appreciated his time with them aneenjoyed the people that he worked with. Reid is survived by his wife of 47 years, Elizabeth Lumpkins Callis; daughter, Charlene Keetoneedward); and grandchildren, Havanna Keeton and Nicholas Keeton.?? He is also survived by brothers, Roy Wayne Callis (Reca), and Frank Hayes Callis Jr. (Carolyn); sister, Heneetta Callis Loyd; brother-in-law, James W.Lumpkins (Mary Ann); and other loving family and friends.?? He was predeceased by his parents and brother-in-law, B.J. Loyd. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Stovall Uneed Methodist Church, 109 Hwy 15, Stovall, by Rev. John Yount, Sr.?? Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.?? Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 6:00 ??? 8:00 PM at Gentry-neel & Vaughan Funeral Home.
