Marilyneewis Felton, 47, died ineer home in Durham oneecember 16. Marilyn was the daughter of Gayle Carltoneelton and Albert L. Felton. She was a native of Pinetops, NC. Marilyn attended the Uneersity of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, trained as a pharmacy technician, and was certified as an Emergency Medical Technician. The true vocation of her life was caring, listening, and helping other persons whose problems she shared. Marilyn is survived by her mother and Deborah Morgan of Rougemont; her father and wife Gene of Newport; her brother Alan Phillips Felton and wife Joan of Wake Forest; her nephew John Alleneelton and niece Virginia Gayle Felton. She is also survived by her unee J. Phil Carlton of Pinetops and his family. Debbie's daughters Joanna and Julia are also part of the surviving family. Marilyn was a member of Calvary Uneed Methodist Church were a service of death and resurrection will be held 1:00 PM Sunday, with the Reverend's Laurie Hays Coffman and H. Gray Southern officiating. The family will visit with friends in the education building prior to the funeral. A graveside service will be held in the Pinetops Cemetery at 4:00 PM, followed by visiting with friends in the J.C. Carltoneellowship Hall of the Pinetops Uneed Methodist Church. The family expresses deep appreciation to the people of Calvary Uneed Methodist Church 304 E. Trinity Ave. Durham, 27701 aneeaster Seals UCP ASAP, 433 West Main St. Durham 27701 for their faithful care and love of Marilyn. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either of them. After decades of suffering the pain of deep depression, Marilyn is now experiencing the peace of God which is beyond all understanding.
