Marguerite Agnes Tracy

DURHAM – Marguerite Agnes Tracy, age 103, died at her daughter’s residence in Durham, NC on February 15, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born on February 12, 1918 to the late Thomas Doody and Marie Sheehan.

Marguerite was born in Preble, NY and after finishing high school, she later became an owner of a hair salon. She was a member of the Onslow County Extension Homemakers, an avid gardener and talented seamstress.

Marguerite is survived by her five children: Barbara Flynn, Priscilla Bourgeois, Michael Tracy (Rosey), Lawrence Tracy (Julie) and Brian Tracy as well as 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Francis Tracy, parents, five brothers and one sister.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, February 19, 2021 at 11:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Durham, NC. For those in attendance, please wear a face covering and social distance.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sarah P. Duke Gardens or Infant of Prague Church in Jacksonville, NC.
