Louise Faucette Oakley

Oxford, NC Louise Faucette Oakley, 100, died peacefully on Thursday, August 16, 2018. She was born on a cold February morning in Granville County to the late Lonnie and Hettie Burchett Faucette. Louise was a lifelong resident of Granville County, where she met and married her late husband, William "Shag Oakley. She was a longtime member of Enon Baptist Church. Louise was a beautiful example of selflessness and love for all she met. She loved to visit with friends and family and one was always greeted with a warm and welcoming smile. Louise is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews whom all loved her deeply; as well as many other loving family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Enon Baptist Church. Visitation for Ms. Louise F. Oakley will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Gentry Newell and Vaughan. Service will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Enon Baptist Church at 2:00 pm officiated by Reverend Steve Brown and Reverend James Shelley with burial to follow at Meadowview Cemetery.
