Louis Francis Fruzzetti, Jr.

Louis F. Fruzzetti, Jr. 65, of Pittsboro, and a Fayetteville resident for nearly 20 years, died March 8, 2008 at his home in Pittsboro. Louis was borneebruary 8, 1943 in Springfield, MO., the son of Louis F. Fruzzetti, Sr. and Margaret Ellison Fruzzetti. He served in the US Army for 20 years, retiring as a Staff Sergeant, and was awarded a Purple Heart for action in Vietnam. Following his retirement from the Army, he worked as a diesel mechanic. He is survived by his son, Louis F. Fruzzetti, III of Fort Campbell, KY; daughters, Angela M. Wendorf of Pittsboro, and Anna Marie McDearmond of Flushing, MI; 4 grandchildren; and two brothers, John of Spanaway, WA and Joseph of Phoenix, AZ. A memorial gathering will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, March 17, 2008 at Griffin Funeral Service in Pittsboro. Friends may visit with the family at that time.
