Loris Beal Whitaker

Mrs. Loris Beal Whitaker, 67, of NC 87 North, Pittsboro, died July 12, 2008 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. Mrs. Whitaker was the daughter of Eugene aneetta Moore Beal. She was born March 30, 1941 in Chatham County. She was employed by Al's Diner in Pittsboro, and attended New Salem Church. Survivors include her daughter, Dottie Whitaker; sons, Barry and Timothy Whitaker; a grandchild and three step-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Elwood Whitaker. Rev. Chris Gambos and Rev. Jerry Sanders will conduct the funeral at 11:00 am, Tuesday, July 15, 2008 from the graveside at Old Rock Springs Cemetery in Pittsboro. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Monday at Griffin Funeral Service in Pittsboro, and also at her residence at other times. Arrangemenst are under the care of Griffin Funeral Service of Pittsboro.
