Joyce Marie Herndon Johnson

Joyce Marie Herndon Johnson, 62, of Goldston-Carbonton Road, Goldston, died neember 2, 2008 at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford. The daughter of Rueben aneemma Grace Howell Herndon, Mrs. Johnson was born January 14, 1946 in Bynum. She attended Bynum Uneed Methodist Church ineer earlier years; and worked as a nurse's aide. Survivors include her domestic partner, Earl Marsh, of the residence; sons, Bobby Terry and wife Robin of Sanford, Dwayn Johnson of Chapel Hill; daughters, Darlene Knight of Carthage and Jackie Terry of Ramseur; 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; and 6 brothers, Eddie Wayne Herndon, Tommy Herndon, Jimmy Herndon, Harold Herndon, Reubeneerndon and Joe Herndon all of Chapel Hill. Ms. Johnson's parents preceded her ineeath. The service to celebrate Ms. Johnson's life will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, neember 4, 2008 from Bynum Uneed Methodist Church. The Rev. Tony Hancock will preside. Interment will follow in the Bynum Uneed Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 pm Monday at Griffin Funeral Service in Pittsboro.
