Johneerbert Allred

Mr. Johneerbert Allred, 88, died February 18, 2012 at his home. Mr. Allred was born in Franklinville on January 20, 1924, the son of Michael Lewis Allred and Dora Hammer Allred. A former resident of Greensboro, Mr. Allred retired from Crawford and Company as vice-president of marketing. He enjoyed wood working and playing the guitar; he also was a ham radio operator. Mr. Allred was an active member of Pleasant Hill Uneed Methodist Church, where among other things, he sang in the choir. He served in World War II as a member of the US Army Air Corps and was stationed in Guam. Surviving are his wife, Virginia Taylor Allred; son, Herb Allred of Siler City; daughter, Carol Lawrimore of Grayson, GA.; grandchildren, Daniel Lawrimore and Alfia Wallace; great-grandchildren, Carson Barrett Lawrimore, Alfred Wallace and Aneew Wallace; and a brother, Robert Reese Allred of Lake Havasee City, AZ. Mr. Allred was preceded ineeath by his parents; his daughter, Jan Allred; sister, Gladys Norman and brother, Bill Allred. The service to celebrate the life of Mr. Johneerbert Allred will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, February 21, 2012 at Pleasant Hill Uneed Methodist Church, with pastor Ray Gooch presiding. Friends may visit with the family in the church fellowship hall following the service. Memorials may be sent to Pleasant Hill Uneed Methodist Church, PO Box 785, Pittsboro, NC 27312.
