Jill Doty Lovings

Jill Doty "Gi-Gi" Lovings, 55, of Saxapahaw, and a former resident of both Chatham and Carteret counees died July 15, 2008 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. She was born July 15, 1053 in Nashville, TN to Jobe P. Doty and Dorothy Ohlman Doty. Jill was a graduate of UNC-Greensboro; she taught middle school English in Carteret County for a number of years before moving to Florida and then to Chatham County. She was a member of St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church in Pittsboro. A genee, loving woman, Jill was affectioneely known as "Gi-Gi" to her grandchildren Chase and Tyler. Survivors include her son, Teddy Lovings of Beaufort; daughter and son-in-law, Carli L. and nee Haskovec of Suffolk, VA; sisters, Janie Isaacs of Clayton and Janee Mikkelson of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; brother Skip Doty of Siler City; grandsons, Chase and Tyler Haskovec. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, July 19, 2008 from St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Carl Edwards, Celebrant and the Rev. Karen Ladd presiding. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family in the church parish hall immediately following the service.
