Jerry Wayne Quinn

Jerry Wayne Quinn, 61, a resident of Chatham County, died July 31 at his home on Crawford Dairy Road after struggling valiantly against cancer. He was born ineensacola, FL and was raised in Durham NC. He served in the US Army in Vietnam and ineermany. Jerry was employed at the UNC in Chapel Hill, first as a laboratory animal assistant, then as a maintanence mechanic. He was a gifted gardner, known as Junee Jerry, and an avid fisherman. He loved to cook and to dance. Jerry is survived by is wife, Kim Hawks Quinn; mother and step-father, Vera aneed Herring; daughters, Kimberly Marie Hughes and Laura Denee Capps; grandsons, Brandon Capps and Cody Marley; brothers, Boyce Capps aneed Herring; sister, Pat Muhammad; nephew, Baxter Quinn; nieces, Flannery Quinn and Carly Herring. A service to celebrate Jerry's life will be held at his home, 2056 Crawford Dairy Road call 919-942-5542 for directions, at 6:00 pm, Saturday, August 11, 2007. Please dress for warm weather. Memorials to the: Non-Game aneendangered Wildlife Fund, 1722 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, NC 27699-1722. Please nee on the check ineemory of Jerry Quinn. Or to the charity of one's choice.
