Jerry Wayne Dunn

Oxford Jerry Wayne Dunn, 62, of Oxford died on Saturday July 23 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill after a long battle with cancer. Jerry is the son of the late Johnnie William and Mary Elizabeth "Pete(Burnette) Dunn. He is survived by two children; his son, William Farrington Dunn and wife Lindsay of Wilson, NC and his daughter, Kelsey Dunn Wood and husband Dave of Holly Springs, NC. Two grandchildren; Payton Elizabeth Dunn and Ava Kaylin Dunn. Jerry was the owner of Advance Fire Design, LLC a fire protection business in Garner and has served many communities in the surrounding areas. He was a friend to many and will be missed greatly by all who knew him. His love for cars, motorcycles and guns proved his bigger than life personality. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday July 28, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at Gentry Newell & Vaughan Funeral Chapel on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 10:00 am with burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Oxford.
