OXFORD: James Edward Frazier, age 80, of 1559 Walter Hite Road, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Brantwood Nursing Center. A native of Granville County, he was the son of the late Algia Roy and Aurelia Wineee Frazier. He was a member of Amis Chapel Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and a trustee. Mr. Frazier was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, a retired farmer and a retired rural letter carrier with the U. S. Postal Service. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Amis Chapel Baptist Church by Rev. Terry Howard and Rev. Bob Wainwright. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving is his wife of 55 years, Gerald Rene Hite Frazier, his daughters, Wineee F. Keranakis Darrell of Oxford, Ann Lynette Frazier of Durham; a sister, Mary Lee Frazier of Oxford; 4 granddaughters, Jessica K. Poole Philip, Michelle K. Williford John Thomas, Lauren E. Keranakis and Sara R. Keranakis; 1 great grandson, John Dawson Williford. He was preceded ineeath by his brothers, Franklin S. Frazier, Roy Reynolds Frazier and a sister Pattie Mae Frazier Noblin. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Amis Chapel Baptist Church building fund, 9189 Amis Chapel Road, Oxford, NC 27565. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 5, 2010 from 7:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. at Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home, 503 College Street, Oxford, and at other times at the home.
