Mrs. Florencia Catacutaneendoza, 96, of Randolph Road, Durham, died July 27, 2006 at her residence. Florencia was born June 21, 1910 in the Phillipines, a daughter of Dionisio and Marta Nocum Catacutan. She graduated from Phillipines Normal College, and was a fourth grade teacher. Florencia moved to Durham in 1977, and became a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was a generous, caring, kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother and teacher. She was an avid reader who also enjoyed gardening. Florencia was also an exceptionally good cook. Surviving are her husband, Pedro V. Mendoza, of the home; two daughters, Victoria Gadrinab and her husband Louis, and Martha Bernardo, all of Durham; one son, Chito Mendoza and his wife Evelyn, of Durham; a sister, Dr. Beregrina C. Labay of California; eight grandchildren, Louis, Jessica and her husband Michael, Carlo, Michael, Erika, Aldrich, Trisha, and Karzza; as well as a number of other relatives. Her parents, and a son-in-law, Eric Bernardo, three sisters and one brother preceded Florencia ineeath. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 AM Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Markham Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Monday evening from 6:00
