Florence Morgan

Florence Williams Morgan, 88, of Carolina House of Durham passed away Sunday morning April 20, 2008 after a period of declining health. Born in Dunn, NC, Mrs. Morgan was the daughter of the late Walter Almus Williams aneeffie Ann Lasater Williams. A member of Yates Baptist Church, Mrs. Morgan will always be remembered for her many years of devotion to her family. Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Henry S. Morgan of Durham; her son, Barry Morgan and wife, Mary, of Greensboro, NC; her daughter, Beth Loeb, and husband, Mitch Loeb, of Durham; her grandchildren: Katherine Loeb and Jeremy Loeb; a brother, Paul P. Williams and his lifelong companion, Wilma Roberts, of Durham; and many loving nieces and nephews. Mrs. Morgan was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Robert Grissom; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Daisy Williams, and Clarence and Alyce Williams. The family would like to express sincere appreciation for the years of support from her church family; medical and personal support from Dr. Nancy Allen for many years; from the med techs, aids, and chef from Carolina House especially Omega, Ireatha, and Nikita - thank you for your support and for your owneears, and for Heartland Hospice, especially Tom, Melissa, and Trish - all of whom made her final days as comfortable as possible. Many others from the Carolina House family and Heartland offered wonderful support. Special appreciation also to Mrs. Shirley Violet, her hairdresser for more than 40 years, and her mechanics at the Hope Valley Mobil station. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 22, 2008 from Yates Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Gordon and the Rev. John Frederick officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday evening, April 21, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home, 1113 W.
