Elizabeth Ann Wilson Mathews

Oxford, NC Elizabeth Ann Wilson Mathews, 76, a lifelong resident of Oxford, passed peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 17, 2018. Ann was the daughter of the late Francis Coley Wilson and Ruby Odell Wilson. She was the widow of the late Reverend Ronald B Mathews. Ann was a long-time employee of Burlington Industries in Clarksville, VA and a member of Delrayno Baptist Church, Oxford. She is survived by her daughter, Cyndi Bowen and her husband, Joseph Jr. (Kenny) of the home. She was Nana to Joseph K. "Matt Bowen, III (Tayla); Bryan Bowen, Nolan Bowen and granddaughter, Kellie Bowen. She is survived by her brothers, Ben Wilson of Oxford and Donald Wilson of Clarksville, VA and her great-granddaughter, Cadence. Ann was predeceased by her brothers, Marvin and J.T. Wilson; sister, Jean Wilbourne and great granddaughter, KayLeigh Jean Bowen Visitation for family and friends will be held at Gentry-Newell - Vaughan on Tuesday evening, June 19, 2018 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. Services will be held at Delrayno Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 20th at 11am. Burial will immediately follow at Meadowview Memorial Gardens. Flowers are acceptable and appreciated.
